Add Meetings to Google Calendar from Gmail

If you do a lot of scheduling over email, it's now easier to create meetings and events directly from your UCSC Gmail account. Starting today, dates and times within emails are lightly underlined: click them to schedule that meeting, event, conference call or lunch date without ever leaving Gmail!

When you click on the lightly underlined date and time within the email message, you'll be able to preview your Google Calendar for the day and change the title, date or time of the meeting. Clicking the blue button "Add to Calendar" will do exactly that - add the meeting/event to your Google Calendar. And for extra convenience, the calendar meeting will include a link back to the original email message.
