Effective immediately, all UCSC Google Apps accounts now have an unlimited amount of storage! Store as many Google Drive files, Gmail messages, and Google+ photos as you need. Google Drive also supports individual files up to 5TB (Terabyte) in size.
As a reminder, never send or store highly sensitive information such as PII or other restricted data in Google. If you must, encrypt it first. More Information

How to Use Google Hangouts
Google has recently made a really big push to turn Hangouts into a viable video conferencing solution for all Google Apps customers. As of July 30, Hangouts is now a Core Google App, which means the service is governed by a contract between the University of California and Google, just like Email, Calendar, Drive, Groups, and Sites.

New Suggested Edits in Google Docs
Now in Google Docs, any person with "can comment" access to a document will be able to make suggested edits to the document. This is a great new addition to Google Docs!

New 'Move to Trash' option in Google Drive
Owners of a Google document, spreadsheet, or presentation are now able to move it to the trash from within its own File menu, rather than needing to do so from the Drive home page. Editors and viewers will see the 'Move to trash' option in the File menu, but it will be inactive and greyed out.
