New Google Calendar Coming Feb. 28!
Effective February 28, Google is permanently replacing their current Calendar application with a brand new design. Starting the 28th, there won't be an option for you to "opt out" of using the new design.

The new Google Drive that went live in our UCSC domain in April, (read announcement) is now a permanent change. Google has removed the option to return to the old Drive via the Settings drop down.
